SDU teaches beginning through advanced Scrapbookers the essential
scrapbook theories & principles of design. SDU will dramatically alter
the skills of any Scrapbooker & make a huge difference in one’s ability
to create dynamic scrapbook pages. Each class distributes course
materials to be organized in a personal SDU binder. This book becomes
one’s complete guide to scrapbooking with all of the tools & project
ideas needed to create any & every scrapbook page. Each topic consists
of 2 classes (theory & technique). The cost for each set of classes in
$22: $10 for the theory component & $12 for the technique component. The
binder cost is $10.
NOTE: Purchase of the
10 classes as a unit will cost $100 only. This includes the binder as a
gift. Classes are generally given on a Sunday afternoon &/or a Monday
evening to accommodate different schedules (depending upon demand).

Graduating from the
above SDU program or completing the prerequisite course of Color &
Layout Design, makes one eligible to take advanced classes. The Methods
program features classes designed to refine one’s skills in specific
areas of interest. With completion of each Methods class, one is
presented with a special collectable pin to display proudly.
Patterned Paper
Take the knowledge you
acquired earlier about color theory & apply it to working with patterned
paper. You will learn about the parts that comprise the whole of
patterned paper, & you will discover how color & pattern work together
to create a harmonious scrapbook layout.

EMBELLISHMENT SAVVY
Explore how
embellishments can turn plain designs into one-of-a-kind keepsakes & can
easily transform the mood or meaning of an entire project. Using the
acquired knowledge of layout design, one will develop the ability to
view a basic layout as a blank canvas for your embellishing creativity.

ADVANCED PUNCHES
Look for a whole new
twist on using punches in this class. If you thought corner punches
could only be used on corners…think again! Using these versatile
punches, one will create intricate designs that will “wow” any advanced
scrapbooker. Cost: $20
